Okay, we are all working on something. If you are like me, sometimes you pray AND work really hard, but what you’re praying about just doesn’t seem to come to fruition. I try to remind myself that no matter how bad my challenges are, someone has it worse. Sometimes that still does not seem like enough. My pastor suggested I memorize this passage.
Philippians 4:11-13
11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Each day I say this out loud, as an affirmation, and try to burn it into my mind. It helps. What do you do? What passages help you? How do you internalize it?
