What did it take to build the largest spherical building? Lots of triangles. Triangles? If you look closely at Sphere’s exoskeleton, you’ll see the laws of Geodesic Math. They used hundreds of interlocking triangles to create the 360° shape. Triangles to make a circle? It worked.
When you are ALL IN, you think big and find a way.
Big Jim Cashman was ALL IN for the city of Las Vegas. He worked hard to get the Boulder Canyon Act passed to create the Boulder Dam (Now called Hoover Dam). As the dam was being constructed, he noticed that tractors would complete the job more quickly and easily.
He wrote to Caterpillar and said that if he were a CAT dealer, he could easily sell six Cat Model 60 Diesel Tractors. In August of 1931, Cashman Equipment became an official Caterpillar dealer. By the way, the Dam project was finished on time and under budget.

In 1959, Western Neon installed the famous Vegas sign, which was designed by one of their employees, Betty Willis. She decided not to copyright her design because she considered it a gift to the city.
You might be thinking, too bad, she would have been rich! However, do you think if she held the rights and people had to pay to use the design, it would have become so iconic?

In order to move the Raiders to Las Vegas, owner Mark Davis had to pay a relocation fee of $350 Million to make it a reality. Once that was paid, according to Forbes Magazine, the franchise was immediately valued at $2.9 billion. What would they be worth if they never moved?
