Since experiencing my new passion to learn more about God and have a personal relationship with Him, I have realized there are as many definitions of the word Christians as there are Christians.
Cathey Armillas recommended a great book that I’m reading, Speaking of Jesus: The Art of Not-Evangelism by Carl Medearis.
I like that the author writes early on about his own failures and how he and his wife were given the opportunity to lead several small groups, and they lost everyone in the group!
He had tried to use his vast knowledge and theology to convert people, but he left out Jesus.
Medearis said, “I was so busy trying to convert people to Christianity that Jesus never had a chance.”
I’ve only read a few chapters, but I really enjoy his voice and what he is saying. It is an easy interesting read for a Jesus novice like me.
What are you reading? Do you like it? If so, why?
Thank you, God, for Grace, Truth, Love, and Laughter,
Darren
P.S. Thank you, especially, for grace.
