Dear Fellow Toastmaster:
Our district just concluded one of its most inspiring and exciting spring conferences this past week. The success of the conference was in a large part due to the presentations given by 2001 World Champion of Public Speaking, Darren LaCroix. Darren entertained us on our Friday night with his humor and got our conference off to a great start. After the presentation many of our members called up those that missed Darren’s comedy skit and invited them to come the next day to hear Darren. We had an additional fifty members “walk-in” at our conference that wanted to hear Darren.
On Saturday morning, Darren gave his keynote address “From Chump to Champ.” If you want to become a champion of public speaking you will not want to miss this presentation. Stage Time, Stage time became a part of our district’s vocabulary that day. Darren kept our members enraptured and inspired with his insights into the art of public speaking. Through out the address Darren used his special sense of humor to keep our members involved and relaxed in a positive learning environment.
Let me recommend to you that you read Darren’s book “Laugh and Get Rich” which he co-authored with Rick Segel. It will have you mesmerized with its insights into the use of humor in business. This book will become a valued part of your communications library. Darren has also created several audios CDs that also have become a great learning instrument for me.
If you want your conference to be upbeat and fun, I highly recommend that you book 2001 World Champion of Public Speaking Darren LaCroix. I am very happy that our district did and I know you will also.
