Although I wasn’t his only speech coach, what amazed me about working with Vikas was his intense focus. Even areas that I wasn’t really trying to push. his concentration on what he was working on was more powerful. Perfect! And, Vikas didn’t use EVERY idea I gave him. He used only those suggestions that were right for him and his own style. Unlike many people, he didn’t use his style as an “excuse” for not trying to implement an idea that he was uncomfortable with.

Vikas was a true student. Our coaching session in New England was done in front of a live audience. This enabled him to get immediate feedback on what THEY were thinking and feeling during his speech. That’s why I prefer “group coaching,” and why the Coaching Boot Camp is set up this way. We offer “Observer” seats for a much lower price, so they can be the audience members for those being coached. Here is part 2 of the NSA NE interview with Vikas Jhingran, 2007 World Champion of Public Speaking. These are the questions we were asked by the audience members:

1) Do you tend to write when you’re inspired ? Or do you set a block of time aside to sit down and write?

2) Have you ever given a speech before it was ready… recorded it, and then went back to work on it?

3) How can we become a proficient, marketable, profitable professional speaker?

Hey Darren, I think you posted the wrong video clip here. The one that I see is a clip of your comedy coach and you talking. This is not a clip of Vikas. (No need to post this comment on the site. Just wanted to let you know. I’m looking forward to part 2 of that interview)

PS – Did those sales letter videos that I made for you die on the vine or what?

The correct videos ARE on YouTube – and are wonderful resources. A definite winner in the ‘value-added’ category, Darren!
