Nice guy or not it is business. They opened another shop 4 miles down the road on the same road. It took the profits I was making (not much) right off the top. I then had to get a job in order in order to pay my own bills and employees.
It was nothing personal against me. Though I did take it that way. It was just business. I did not listen to my lawyer. Bottom line was, legally they could.
Well, I hired a lawyer to look over my title of my new home. Though I’m excited about the house in Las Vegas there are “issues” with the title. I’ve been advised to not follow through until cleared up. Bottom line: I might be starting over from scratch, but this time I’m listening to my lawyer!
I might be homeless next week, but I’ve go faith! Do you?
Lawyer time, lawyer time, lawyer time,
PS Though they may be expensive in the short run, he may have just saved me a world of frustration ten years from now!

Hiring a lawyer is listing to his advice is a smart, smart move. I chose to buy a condo without an attorney (to save money, thought). I saved money right up until the point that the deal went sour. Then I lost the deposit, inspection fees and loan application fees. And I had to hire a lawyer to get me out of the mess anyway. So rather get the lawyer on your side first.
It’s part of the plan for you to be in Vegas. Even in a cardboard box, it’s still “Vegas, Baby!”.
Sending good karma your way! Congrats on the big move!
You never can tell how much you saved when you follow a laywer’s advice, but you can count every cent you lost when you didn’t. A friend of mine bought a piece of land in NC from the owner and paid cash. She didn’t know there was a boundry dispute with the neighbor until she went to sell it. The closing didn’t go through because they couldn’t get a clean title due to previous errors on the survey, easements, etc. I don’t know if she ever got the clear title. A lawyer would have never let her buy it that way.
